Join us this October for a quilting journey through the “Old South” – from the historic land of “Gone With the Wind” to the jazz and blues of the “Big Easy” – New Orleans.

Autumn leaves are falling down, falling down, yellow, red, orange and brown a colorful palette for a country quilt. October is a beautiful month to embrace the fall season in the southeastern U.S., not too hot and not too cold and the scenery is beautiful.  Atlanta will offer a guided “Quilt Shop Hop” of the surrounding area and includes a private workshop with Marti Michell, the Award winning quilter.

Visit the famous “Gees Bend Quilters” in Alabama and take a Mississippi River Cruise aboard the “Natchez Steamboat” in New Orleans. The highlight of your tour will culminate at the “International Quilt Festival Houston"!

The International Quilt Festival Houston is one of the premier quilting trade events in America with over 60,000 visitors each year.Talented quilt artists are present in huge numbers at this convention.There are over 500 varieties of quilts represented not to mention quilting machines, sewing tools, fabrics and over 22 special exhibits.
